Cartridge Cartridge An cartridge is the 'heart' of a tap and responsible for temperature control. Almost all (kitchen) mixer taps are fitted with a ceramic cartridge. Delivery information

The majority of our orders are shipped with various carriers. Sometimes we use other carriers to deliver specific orders or to ease the load on the main carriers to meet our delivery promises.

The expected delivery time is always shown on the product page. Most products that we have in stock are shipped the same day. The evening before delivery, you will receive tracking information with a time window for the delivery. Important to know: the drivers of our chosen carriers deliver the products to the front door on the ground floor.

Also, for larger products such as granite sinks, large fragile sinks, cabinets, etc., you will receive a tracking code in the evening. These products are not delivered to the neighbors and a signature is required, so someone must be home to receive the product. Note: these large products are not delivered on Saturdays!

If the delivery of a large product fails on the first attempt, the carrier will contact you via email or SMS to send you a schedule so you can choose a time when you will be home.

Delivery surcharges of €30 to €100 apply for shipments to islands, due to additional logistical costs such as water transport and limited accessibility, and there are surcharges for pallet shipments for transporting fragile and heavier products.

PVD Coated Tap Care & Maintenance

✅ Daily Wipe-Down: Dry with a soft cloth after every use. Coloured finishes show water marks easily

✅ Regular Cleaning: Clean with mild dish soap and warm water on a soft microfibre cloth

✅ Light Buildup: Use a 75/25 lemon juice and water solution, buff gently, rinse immediately

✅ Preserve the Finish: Regular light cleaning prevents the only real enemy: hard water mineral buildup

❗ Abrasive Tools: Avoid scouring pads, steel wool, rough sponges, and abrasive powders

❗ Harsh Chemicals: Don't use bleach, ammonia, acidic cleaners, or aggressive descalers

❗ Soaking: Never let any cleaning solution sit on the finish. Apply, wipe, rinse, done

❗ Metal-on-Metal Contact: Don't bang pots or utensils against the tap. Sharp impacts can chip the coating

What is PVD Coating?

PVD stands for Physical Vapour Deposition and this results in a coating that is much stronger than galvanised chrome, for example, and yet shines just as beautifully. Another not insignificant advantage of PVD coatings is that they are relatively environmentally friendly. To apply the coating, a liquid metal is vaporised in a vacuum environment. This means that the process requires less high temperatures. The vaporised metal is then applied to the product in one or more layers. These layers are wafer-thin so that the design of the product is not affected by the top layer.

PVD coatings are not only applied to taps, but to all kinds of metal objects that are used intensively and still require a beautiful colour. Think, for example, of cutlery, door fittings and even watches.

Advantages of PVD:

Waterevolution is a Portuguese manufacturer of bathroom, toilet, and kitchen faucets. Unlike many other faucet 'brands', Waterevolution is a true manufacturer. They collaborate with leading Portuguese designers to develop their faucet series.

The stainless steel faucets from Waterevolution are made from 100% solid stainless steel 316. Recently, these stainless steel faucets can also be coated with a PVD finish in the colors Gun Metal, Brass, Copper, and Gold.
